SS-F Symposium: Building Bridges in the Global Scientific Community | January 20, 2025

Purpose of the Symposium STELLAR SCIENCE FOUNDATION (SS-F), in collaboration with the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network operated by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), is launching the Global Science Scholars – SS-F & CZ Biohub Network Program. This program provides fellowships for early-career researchers from Japan and the United States, enabling mutual exchange for up to two years. Applications for the program officially opened on December 17, 2024 (for details, please refer to the press release). This program is a joint initiative between SS-F and the CZ Biohub Network, implemented as part of the Cabinet Secretariat’s Global Startup Campus Initiative (Note). The goal is to accelerate the creation and growth of research-based startups by supporting innovative research environments. To commemorate the launch of this program, we are pleased to announce a symposium featuring keynote speeches from Dr. Stephen Quake, a world-renowned biophysicist and Head of Science at CZI, and Professor Emi Nishimura from the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Tokyo. [Press Release] Applications Now Open for the Global Science Scholars SS-F&CZ Network Program

December 18, 2024 — STELLAR SCIENCE FOUNDATION (SS-F, headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Takayuki Takebe) announced today the launch of the Global Science Scholars – SS-F & CZ Biohub Network Program (hereafter, "the Program") in collaboration with the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network (CZ Biohub Network, headquartered in San Francisco, California, Representative: Amy Herr). This program offers exchange opportunities for early-career researchers from Japan and the United States. It aims to support researchers at the beginning stages of their careers by providing a two-year fellowship that fosters innovative research environments.   【Program Overview】 This Program is part of initiatives promoting the Cabinet Secretariat's Global Startup Campus Initiative and aligns with the Cabinet Office Fellowship Program Survey for Strengthening the Startup Ecosystem (Note 1).
